Darius was right.  There was only a small window on Saturday.  I met Trong just north of BH, but south of Pescadero.  We waited until probably 8:30 before the fog showed steady signs of retreat, marked our spot on the GPS, and were OTW by 9.  Started drifting, and Trong hooked up within 10 minutes with a 31" ling.  By about 10, the shoreline was visible and we were in front of Bean Hollow beach.  I thought we had drifted alot farther, but there was no wind, so it was a slow drift.

By 11:30, the wind had picked up, waves were getting choppy, and the fog returned to the hilltops.  One more quick drift, but conditions only got worse.  Got back to the launch spot about 12:30, just as visibility was down to about 100 yards.  High tide was at 11:30, so the return was a bit more exciting than the launch.  Yes, we both tumbled to the beach.

Trong ended up with 6 more rockfish, and I landed 3 (though I released two because they were only 13").  The third I had for dinner, and it was delicious.

Sorry no pics, but nothing you haven't seen before.  Watch the quick fog on Sunday, and good luck.
