Much bigger than what we caught there, and constant action.  Wind was non-existent, and the swell was about 6-8 and 12 or so sec.  Very manageable.

Nice fishing with you guys again, probably that's my last fishing trip this year. Me and Mike went back Saturday morning and Jedmo showed up. Mike fish for a couple hours and he left us.

Me and Jedmo did very good Saturday we both boated a ling. Friday is kinda slow for me and Mike, and it so foggy out there that day.

I catch this one tho.  :smt003

Kiel,
Great Pic!  Looks eerie.  I'm glad to hear Jedmo was able to join you.  Took the pinoy brothers out to MB and we got hit by 2 cold weather systems so fast it looked like a sand storm.  It got real windy real quick and the fog just enclosed us.  Couldn't see the coast for awhile and the sea got quite choppy.  Have a good trip to PI and catch some fish!

No WSB but the DFG that inspected us told us that 2 was caught in the last 2 days and a friend of mine that fish there a lot told me the same thing.  So they are still there but you have to get really lucky.  Got our limits on RF's even with the bad weather so I'm eating fish today.

It has been a while since I fished Fort Ross. The weather was calling for some wind chops and 6ft swells so I was a little hesitant of showing up. I am so glad I
did because in the morning, the water was almost like glass. Around 1pm was
when it got really windy and the swell started rolling in faster. My last drift yielded
a nice ling for me. Perfect eating size 27"long 7lbs even. Also invited other rock
fishes for dinner as well.

Good to fish with you again Mike and Kiel. Oh, I almost forgot about RickL who
joined us for a little while till it got nasty. Good to see you again Rick.

Have fun in the Philippines Kiel. I know that it will be very difficult to do so
considering the storm and all. Try and see what you can do for our country man
back home. I already know you will. It is in your nature. :smt002

Kiel I did not get a chance to use that reel.  I had it rigged on my other rod, and intended to use it, but it was constant action on the rod that I had out.  I only had shrimp flies on that reel, and wanted to use the butter knife jig until I limited or lost it.  I will use it this weekend for sure.
