I am recruiting for the underwater hockey team that plays at Ives Pool in Sebastopol.  For all you guys who would like to start diving or get better at diving this is a great form of exercise and a lot of fun.  We play Tue and Thur nights 8:30-9:45 at Ives in Sebastopol.  I drive from Santa Rosa and would be happy to share a ride.  Let me know.  542-6706

I don't mean to beat this underwater hockey horse to death but I just think that anyone interested in becoming a better diver should think about it.  Here is a little more info.

I put it off for 6 months before I finally went out to play and now I wouldn't miss a game.  It is a pick up game every week and sometimes in the winter we don't have enough people so we can't play.  Hope this sparks some interest.

I would be tempted to try this if they had one in my area.  It sounds like great fun and practice.

Hmm,
I've actually been in that pool!!
There aren't any details about what to bring/wear, cost, etc, but I'll try to stop by when I get a chance.

Given my schedule, it probably won't be for a while.

The gear is simple.  Water polo headgear, small hockey sticks one white,
one black, a silicone padded gardening type glove for your stick hand, fins, bathing suit, mask and snorkel, with a football type mouth guard.  Most clubs have a lot of extra gear to loan you to help get you started.  Our Santa Rosa club costs $5 a game for pool use I you buy a  pass and $6 if you pay each game.  Really friendly helpful people who love the water.  Some of our Santa Rosa guys go to San Jose and play on Sundays.
