Lots of fish stories to tell, but that will happen on another day. Three of us fished the mothership trip on the Islander, and found a wide open bite on yellowtail, with a few dorado and yellowfin tuna in the mix. We had the fish stored in RSW, or refrigerated salt water on board, then packed on ice, whole for the long ride home.

We have hundreds of pounds of fish-literally, and will be at the fish cleaning station (East side of the harbor, close to the tackle shop) at the Santa cruz harbor tomorrow morning, from about nine to noon, cleaning and packing fish. We'd love it if you can come take some fish off our hands, bring your knife along and take home a 20 pound yellowtail...really.

Feel free to call me on my cell tomorrow, at  831 439-2046, or

Steve Hum at 431 0795.
Always willing to join others in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay area for a bit of fishing...feel free to contact me.

Steve,
Undescribable fishing.  Did you guys have time to take pics while fishing?  You guys must be tired.  I'll see if I can make it there this morning and take one from you.

Thank you so much to Paul and every one else who went on this fishing trip. It was nice to meet you all and I hope to see you out on the water some time. :fishing1 Very generous, you really hooked it up. The fish is very delicious and fresh as can be. I've never gone tuna fishing so i really appreciate you sharing your bounty and with a complete stranger no less. I just made my self a small platter of sashimi (or a large platter in a Japanese restaurant) and really enjoyed it. Cheers :beer2

Hey folks,

The "tomorrow" I was referring to was today....I wrote that post after getting back in town in the middle of the night, so I was still thinking of it as tomorrow, when it was 1230 or so. So, a few folks from this site stopped by and got to sample some really great looking yellowtail and tuna. We gave some to some folks just passing by, and really made their day. A few friends came and helped with the processing, and they got some of the bounty. And the rest is in the freezer for some great winter eating.

My apologies if i confused anyone, chalk it up to long hours of travel.

Tight lines!

thanks Paul!  I misread as well, or I guess I didn't.  I was re-scheduling my Monday morning meetings and sharpening my fillet knives when you called yesterday.

Lucky for me I live so close to the harbor........Paul swung by and dropped off a few bags of YT and one awesome bag of YF!

I ate sashimi over hot rice last night.  AWESOME!!!!!!!  Followed up with hamachi-Q and hamachi-cado sushi, thanks to my wife.

Cooked up some YT to round out the meal, and the my guests coming Wednesday are going to have a treat.

Soooo good thanks bro!
