Tuesday 10/6 Benicia 1st Street

I'l be meeting up with Hobie Dave and Daviator Tuesday, 10/6 at 7:30 at 1st Street Benicia.  The parking is free and so is the beach launch and hopefully the Stripers will be heading up the Delta.  Company welcome!  We'll be on channel 69.

Martin, thank you for the hookup post. I anticipate that we'll have no problem with wind by then. We will have an out going current until close to 11:00 AM. Then after slack tide, the incoming current in the after noon will become quite strong, peaking at 2.64 knots at about 1:45 PM. Maybe do our turn around at the Carquinez Bridge, or perhaps further if we're staying OTW beyond 1:30 PM or so. We'll be going back to the launch quite rapidly, even at troll speed. Probably will be some breeze also heading that way calming the water. Looking forward to a fun day OTW with you two and any other NCKA's that can make it.

Jeff: I've been looking forward to meeting you. I recall your take on the salmon Martin caught on the Rattletrap. I too thought it to be a silver. Not only appearance but it was hooked near the surface and Martin said it jumped at least three times. A silver that size is mature and is only on one mission In spite of F & G saying no silvers spawning up river from here, we're not buying it.
7:30 AM good for you? Lures? Run what you brung. Pet spoon/w pork rind great old school stuff if you can still get it.

Have to check the tackle boxes to see if I have any Pets. I know there's one on my window sill with a rusted out hook. Maybe better head to the store and buy a proper one for it.

Sorry I didn't make it today. The GF told me she was having a "surprise" birthday party for me today and, knowing how I am, that I probably wouldn't get back in time for the festivities.
So let me know when you're all doing this again and I'll try and make it then.
