By reading posts and looking at Google Maps I got a good idea of how to get there and where to launch.

I go solo allot so,,,,,

Is it all rock, can one person get their yak down to the water without dragging it over the rocks?

In some of the posts last year I saw a decent beach but I guess that was below the rocks.

Having caught a nice sturgie today (and little else, boring) I thought next time I might try OAP and play with the sharks while I wait, I love bait fishing,

Any info would be appreciated,

dale, it is a mix of rock and dirt.  not too bad of a carry if you're solo, less than 20 yards or so.

the biggest pain is the chain "rail" I've seen a few ppl eat it trying to step over it.

Carry???? you must be kidding,    drag-usually, wheels-sometimes,   lift? only one end at a time,  :smt012

When the time comes, Guess I'll get it done, I can drag it up a 20 ft levee, but it was nice soft sand and grass.

A wheelez would be best but I've done it with my yak wheels.  The road to the beach is not flat and got some pot holes but not too bad.
