Bioluminescence in Tomales Bay--when?

This Tom Stienstra article mentions Tomales Bay getting bioluminescent in the fall.

Anyone seen this?  Know when it happens?  I'd love to check it out.

It only happens after Tom has a hit of acid. He sees plenty of other things too.....
