Years ago, (25+) I first fell in love with a Seda and went out of Dana Point fishing for whatever bit.... well had kids, put my life into work and really never got back into fishing from a kayak; however, I had a recent attempt in closed touring yaks. We do a bit of fishing in other ways. I just purchased two Hobie Odys and want to start kayak fishing, I am in Redding. Any recommendations to get my 16 year old and I into some fun right now? Many thanks! Is there anyone local I can ask about for rigging up the yaks and myself?

Welcome back to the Madness!  There are a few members from Redding who will likely see your headline before too long and chime in here.  CLK's Trinity Lake advice is good, and you should be able to find some Good Times on the upper Sac.

Have fun and come back with a report and some cool photos.   :smt001

Hi, I'm in Redding, what do you need to know?
I'll try to help you, or you can check out the rigged kayak or gearing up sections on this site. Thats how I got started, many here are very helpful to newbs.
