all the local reports got the sturgeon fever burning me bad so if the wind aint too bad im gona catch the last of the outgo n let it help me paddle west then fish the flood , might even soak a bullhead cuz the big stripers have been coming through early

my freinds actually , we target sturgeon year round but ive fallen into the depths of ocean kayak fishing so i gave it a rest this summer , september,october and november are great months for sturgeon due to the warm water temps & windless days plus the stripers are rolling though , my niebor came home on sunday with like 4 limits of stripers with the majority of the fish around 35 inches taken on live bullheads in suisun bay , my buddies have been nailing keeper and oversize sturgeon all summer at the mothball fleet and if there around the fleet then there in monty as well , the problems with the warmer water temps is the diaper stripers & crabs , big rays find your bait efore the herds of sturgeon roam through the zone but some eel and miricle thread along with more shrimp should do te trick. my goal before winter is too hook into my first kayak sturgeon and since the seas wont be too calm this friday ill stay local and fish those 4 foot swing tides, hopefully there biting.

sorry if i started rambling , im a sturgeon junkie and infected with the fever yearround.
