The usual suspects:
Chuck,Joe,Joel,Troy,Elric and Bob.....

As we were getting our kayaks ready to launch....the local legend "Vince" who was fishing from the shore, showed us how it was done!!! (caught and released)

Joe / skyboy showing consistency by catching the first keeper of the day.....

one of the 5 dinks I caught..... I was originally trolling the 1/2 hair-raiser - but Bob radioed in and mentioned that he was catching more on the x-rap = so I made the switch. Thanks for the tip Bob!!!

the larkspur locals doing the early morning ritual.......standing and staring...

a schoolie on light tackle is da way to go!

this one almost made the cut....an inch short of death...

Troy making friends with the schoolies.....

Chuck took my "old Blue" scupper pro for a test ride and caught a keeper...

here's the money shot....this would make a good ad for Wilderness Systems...."a kayak stable enough to piss off on"....the "test pilot" Joe/Skyboy demonstrates the art of "draining the lizard"

It was a great trip, these guys are getting me addicted. By the way, good thing the drift was heading out of the bay, otherwise that might be a offensive pic. No pics of me being cheap by retrieving the $1.50 lure from the drawbridge. I need to practice my casting skills......

Troy,

I think I bumped into you one day out at the brickyard, but you had a different boat.  You were wrapping up a slow windy day - and I decided to pass as the winds had picked up even further, while we chatted. (I think you had a smaller Blue 'Yak at the time). If that was you, your new boat is nice.   Looks like you guys had a good day.  Maybe I'll catch you out there with the rest of the crew some time.  I fished clear lake over the weekend - but it was painfully slow

Nice fishin w/ you guys once again! Chuck was right telling me that the area was 'well protected'. I bailed early in hopes of catching some rockfish at the GG Bridge.
Just as I arrived around 1pm, the fog started to roll in and the wind picked up. Though the outgoing current was slow, combined w/ the incoming wind and the swells, caused for a very lumpy ride. You know the type where the sea doesn't know where its going and it just gets bumpy everywhere. I was able to reach bottom w/ a 2 oz lead head, but w/ the fog, wind and swell I thought better to fish off to the side by the 2 big rocks by the North Tower (name?)
It was high tide, so alot of those rocks were submerged as I manuevered in figure 8's and landed 2 gophers. This is where having a short, manuverable Hobie Sport shines - working boiler rocks.
I hope to make down to Big Sur one more time for that WFO Feeling - is it still possible?
