Great writting Pete! you made it sound way better than it was. that was the third time in row i've been there when the drift was so fast=SUCKS!!
I was able to itch-up a few and promissed to "KILL SOMETHING" too.
As for the shitty WX?,  i thought we'd be fishing in glassy waters, t-shirts, smelling of sunblock, fish-slime, Hookin, aHootin&aHallerin'!
I'd rather be doing what we were doing, cuz i missed it last weekend and you guys made it feel soooooo much warmer that it was. :smt008

Here is a shot of the EVO'd, parsley, salt&pep'd 18"Cab i grilled with fresh O2b-grown sweet yellow squash, sliced red taters&garlic bread.
THANK YOU MotherBeanHollow!.....my wife is now a fish-eating monger.

See ya next saturday at HMB!!!

Hey guys,
I don't feel so bad about the near skunk since Adam had a normal catch also.
 I was afraid to
Quote
bust out with the excuses
cuz then would look silly if he posts his usual..." what wind, what drift ?....fishing was great!" type report.

The ol one handed paddle works OK in slower drift but this one was pretty bad. We drifted a mile or two South and outran most of the fish alerted to the overhead swimbaits and minnows zooming by. I had a feeling that we were flying past good structure while fish tried their best to get hooked at times.
So,
I'll just settle for a one dinner outing with lots of exercise and comraderie.
Obkooks red would have made a beautiful tropical fish.
