On another site a final salmon count was done for the 10 day season.

According to Ed Roberts from the Eureka office of CDFG there were 5,360 angler trips with a catch of 670 adult Chinookies. Not a very productive season to say the least.
The fishing was so good I thought I was there yesterday!

That is 0.125 fish per person. :smt011  Or only 12.5% of the people caught fish, assuming nobody caught more than one. :smt011  :smt010

So either the salmon runs are down or it was a lull in the run...I hope it's the latter.
May the fish be mighty and the seas be meek...

anyone know how the salmon run is going on the Feather River or Sac river?

Let hope there was a good spawn and this low take was due to DFG timing it to have minimal impact--the other conclusion is one I don't want to think about right now.  :smt009

Would love to know how the salmon count has been going up the Sac!
