I'll be paddling out of the SC harbor on Sunday at first light if anyone would like to join me. I know I should be heading to the big sur campout but I just can't spare the time right now so I'm staying close to home. CH69

Not sure yet but I might be in the area in the am.  Is there a good place to park there?

I drive the car down to the parking lot next to the kayak storage and unload everything then go park the car at the top of the hill and walk back down. No parking fees....no tickets.

Not familiar with the kayak storage area but is that close to the boat launch area?  If so, I think I know how to get there.

You want to park your car to unload where you see the A. It's on the opposite side of the harbor from the regular boat launch. Or you can pay for parking and put your boat in the water where the big boats launch. Up to you.

FF,
Sorry, got to bail out.  Really want to try fishing with you in SC but got put on call this weekend.  Have to stay closer to the Livermore area.  Hope you get one of those WSB out there.  Thanks for all the info you gave me.

It's all good. Hope to see you out there next time. Sorry you gotta work.

Hopefully we can fish DV together when the weather cools down a bit. Do you fish there often?

Yes, we can hook-upnext time.  The only thing I've caught in DV so far are trout and crappies.  Tried trolling for stripers a few weeks ago but it's pretty warm.  The boat check is also a pain.  Don't really fish there often since I love the smell of the ocean and would rather go for salty fish.  I wish I live in SC like you.  I would be fishing most of the time.
