heard good reports of stripers on bullheads off china camp, so had a couple of hours (seems that's all i get lately). Picked up a couple of bullheads from Art. Launched at bullhead flat, great incoming current, and wind from south.

ended up catching a bunch of sand sharks to about 3+feet...one pick up that was probably a striper, but i managed to lose it after a minute or two. Tackle tested my daiwa luna on a HUGE batray - took me FOREVEr to get in.

Thanks for the report, good info, bat rays sure will test the drag on those first long powerful runs, after that it's allot of work to get'em in and let'em go,

Wow... completely forgot about China Camp. I grew up near there, but have never fished the area. Anyone ever get Halibut there? - figure there's a sandy bottom.

Really wanted to 'high-five' you on the Luna tho. I rock one too. Is it the 209? I think it's one sweet reel! I _LUV_ the Luna. I use it with the Daiwa Coastal Inshore rod, and find it to be one sweet combo. I find the usages to be very versatile - casts really nice and smooth seated in the palm of your hand! Congrats on the new one!

Zin- water was sturgeon water almost, so no trolling. Couple of guys threw plugs at RR from a whaler, but high tailed it out pretty quick. Top of tide, and start of outgo it is actually ALMOST clear enough to troll.
Thur/Fri when the winds are down should be ON... ummm, wait, there's no stripers in marin...don't come, stay home, go to the east bay...

b. - there's no halibut up there  :smt002    I've got the 300 great reel, just wish the clicker was a little more burly
