....or something similar?

Im looking for a small older/vintage bike to commute to work here in Santa Cruz.  Project type is fine.

I recently fixed up a honda express, now i have two of them 77 and 81, but they are just a tad too little to go 10 miles every day, I think.

Hey, worth a shot....never hurts to ask

thanks

Allen

My half brother Ty had a trail 90 many yrs ago, he used it to get around our favorite deer hunting site (Bow hunting)  Good luck with your quest!

Yeah they are cool bikes, auto trans (n0o clutch) Hi/Lo sprockets, the originals even have a canteen mounted on it.

And most iomportant it doesn't go too fast so I probabbly won't kill myelf.

Plus it's styling....

Sweet little bikes.  My Dad has a cherry one that has been sitting in the garage for years.  He just went through it this summer and got it running and cleaned up again.  Wish I had it here but it's in Minnesota.

My brother bought two of them off E-bay this past year, both in decent shape.  I guess there is some website where you can have people bid on shipping that kind of thing... I think it wound up costing him about $700 or $800 per bike when he was all said and done with it.  He uses them to toodle around the local community and to take on camping trips.

Here's a pic of my Dad's...

Oooh, that 110 is CLEAN!!!

Scallen, I have a '65 project, if you're interested.  It's all there, fairly straight, and used to run great 5 years ago or so.

It's a Trail 90, officially called a "CT200" back then, (but 90cc's, with the single-speed tranny).

not a 90 or 110, but I have a 07 XR650L with only 1100 miles on it I will sell you.  it is FAST and will get you in lots of trouble, but hey you only live once!

thanks for all the response, guys.

I'll get a picture up tomorrow I hope.  I found one in Aptos for 500.  A bit rough, but it runs well with some good new parts.

This bike is like a tarctor as far as construction....This will be fun!

I love those bikes. I have had 3 of them. KTM520EXC D/S and a V-Strom took their places, but the XR did most of what either of these 2 will do.
