Hi Folks,

I hope you are enjoying your summer. It has been a very busy one for our project. We have had a couple small work weekends that accomplished a lot. We just finished holding our second 4-H Environmental Week which was very productive. I will put out a detailed summary once I get some pictures I am waiting on.

We have one more major project to finish. We need to replace a big section of the boundary fence along highway 139. The present fence is a combination of barbed wire and hog wire. We need to replace it with wildlife friendly fencing. This will allow the antelope to travel back and forth between the property and Grasshopper Valley without getting hurt from the barbed wire like they are now.

I am hoping to get 10 to 15 people to come up to the property for the Labor Day weekend. As usual, we will make sure you are not hungry or thirsty during your visit. Do not forget that you can claim your mileage as a donation.

You could easily mix the trips with some vacation time seeing as the fishing a Eagle Lake really starts to kick in during this time of the year. Those of you who got drawn for a northern X zone tag could also mix it up with some scouting.

I know this is short notice but we sure could use your help. We are running behind schedule on this one and need to get it finished before winter arrives.

Let me know if you can make it.

Thanks,

Have a great day,
Dave Allen

Big Dog, I'm new to this site, I restore and enhance streams for steelhead and coho.  I'm interested in your fence project, where is it located and when do you need help?
