But do you remember the "ghettobar"?  Basically a 2 by 4 connected by bungy cord to the front of the yak.

No need for that either...less really is more.  The Rhyno bar was necessary back when there weren't any flat surfaces on most yak suitable for mounting ff's etx.  You don't have that problem.
