There used to be a couple open spots in Timber Cove just past the office and not visible from the road. Great view of the ocean and easy launch but not the prettiest camping spot. I think they have power there if the spots have not been filled with permanent trailers. Next spot up the coast with power that I know of is Anchor Bay Campground. To the south there is Bodega Bay RV Park just as you are leaving Bodega Bay right where Bay Hill Rd intersects Hwy 1 and another one a little inland from Hwy 1 in Duncan Mills is Cassini Ranch Campground. jim

ahh thx Jim for some reason I was thinking that was Reef...timber cove...I spoke with the owner last yr about the spots and like ya say if there not taken by permant...he has propane...spent 3 months last yr @ OC and would go there and get gas every other week...that cove looked pretty fishy and protected if windy...I asked if i could drive down and check it out. Steep hill... have u fished it before??

The plan is a couple of nights @ still water and a couple where theres power to recharge the batts...

Yeah south would not be an option because of wanting to fish Still water/OC/Ft Ross area, Timber Cove sounds like the winner on that think I will get on the ph and make some calls...thxs much Jim

Fishing out of T.C. is good. I've caught lings to the North in front of Nine Inch Cove and along the kelp towards the south of the cove itself but before Windmere Pt. Those little Honda gen's are super quiet. jim

I feel for you on the no driving rap. I received my #3 dui over 20 years ago and needless to say I lost my right to drive for three long years but that was exactly the length of time needed for me to learn not to ever drink and drive again. jim

whoh...3 yrs that drives it home...I'm like the poster child for DUI peeps...u don't really think about the consequences until the officer says "Sir, Have u been drinking tonight?"  :smt011. first time 3 mth class/no lic for a month...second 18 mths of class once a week/no lic for 1 yr/loss of income/loss of fishing...And Thank God NO Loss of Life...3rd well in todays world it's not pretty...I'd say "Just shoot me please" Sic ole Ted Nugget on me... A compound bow shot through the temple would do...it's not funny and I'm sure theirs people on this board who have been tragically effected by some DUI driver...and loss of fishing access is very low in that regard...It's very SERIOUS so remember my motto peeps... "DONT DRINK and DRIVE" :smt011

Because DAMIT I LIKE TO FISH!!!  :smt003

Sorry bout that Jim, I just finished my 3rd cup of instant espresso... :smt003
