Short and sweet, no pics.
Monday i was blown off the water pretty quick. Got a late start to boot.
Tuesday was an early start, better conditions, no halibut. Lots of giant leopards and a couple take-downs that didn't stick. I also stuck what I thought was a fish, on the hookset it ran, "oh sh*t, it's gonna' go airborne," and a big seal does the billfish shuffle not more than 20 yds from me, and my line is going straight to his head! I point the rod at him and it pops off. That was scarey, exciting, and fun as hell cuz I know I stuck him good! Tagged his ass!
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Thanks for the report, Juan.

I need to get down there and C&R some of those big leopards!

I got a sweet spot for 'em that I've never tried to fish from the yak. Never not caught a big leopard there.

So many options...so little time.

Hello Juan, are you going to try again there on Saturday? If so, I'd like to
come along and try my luck on some halibut fishing. I need to put in
some time on the new Revolution.

Thanks,
Jedmo

I am so sorry to hear that you may have accidentally caused one of those cute furry seals any pain :smt002!  I believe the ocean is FAC calm today as there is a Grady not far from my boat that was going out at 2 am last night for some offshore Tuna.  Weather channels saying 3 foot swell every 11 seconds and 5 knt winds at Bodega and SF this morning!  Looks like one of those glassy days today and I am contemplating taking the ruby port out to investigage!
