That boat is so nimble its ridiculous and its clearly in very capable hands.  I need to get a SINK and broaden my horizons.

Hard to believe they go out in those conditions for fun.  But that boat is a thing of beauty in such capable hands.

Long boats are great fun in mushy cresting swells, they're so fast you can paddle ahead of the wave. But if the wave gets a bit too steep the bow pearls, and you nosestand. Beach landings in dumping surf aren't pretty; a barely-controlled sidesurf is about all I hope for.

There can be fun standing waves at Yellow Bluff on max ebbs, but you don't want to get separated from you boat, or you end up out the Gate. Still, it's a real kick to catch a rip wave here and hear the water hissing over the hull.
