Took my son to Lake Merced to fish.  Not a single bite.  No one around us was catching anything either.  We were using power bait and night crawlers.  Probably be a while before we go back, the fishing is really slow there.

I know it is a tough place for fishing.  I think it only ranks between a 1 and 3 in the norther california fishing guide.  Hopefully I will have better luck this coming weekend at clear lake.

Anytime you leave bags and valuables in plain sight, you risk getting your car broken into. .

This doesnt just apply to Lake merced..  just FYI.   :smt001

definately glad I did not catch "the floater".  that would put a damper on the day.
