Fished from the lower Napa river up a few miles and back with chovies and trolling for nada!  Nice work out again though, and I am sure to get out of this slump soon!  Hung out in a shack on top of a barge and worked the phones for a while.

Nice pics. Are you trying for stripers up there? Do they usually cruise thru there around this time of year? jim

I see you launched at the Vallejo public ramp.  That's a nice workout for you!  Thanks for the report and pictures.

I saw your rig with your yak on top of it yesterday at the Vallejo public launch. I park there and go for a jog along the waterfront a couple times a week. I was keeping an eye out for anybody near your truck to say hello to, but never saw you there.
Thanks for the report!  :smt006

In a couple of months, that place will be full of striper action. Fly line a
bullhead with light tackle will be a blast. Thanks for the report and picture.

Thanks for the encouragment and for the responses, I knew it was not a great time of the year to be on the river, but love the cool air on the river on a hot day!  I know that Sept/Oct is when their will be a lot of fish there, but it is only 15 minutes from my office in southern napa, and made for great trolling conditions, no snags, great looking water, and you never know until you try!
