I sent an email telling the guy I'd take it yesterday morning around 10am and haven't heard anything back from him.  The ad is still up though so I am hoping it is still for sale and he contacts me.

Hi Yakers:

I had three SXTS' from my Family when we I lived in Albion.
I like the SXTS" for Ab diving at VanDamm The SXT not the best Yak for long range or fighting the NW Wind. I would buy it just for Diving but, I don't have the space.
It make my happy if I can help the Tribe save some $$$ on Gear.

The lady called me today, I will be picking it up tomorrow morning around 11ish.  I guess she had two, she sold the yellow one and I will be getting the red one (I didn't know they made red scramblers), also with a seat and a paddle.  Stoked!!

Great sounds like an awesome deal.   One thing I have found out about Craigslist is if it is a good deal you have to jump fast.   The kayak I bought on there I think I woke the lady up who sold it to me.  She had worded the ad very poorly but still had four people, the first day, who wanted to buy it if I turned it down.   Again congratulations, that looks like a smoking deal.

I think it is a Scrambler 11 (not the XT Angler) model, which is a little shorter and a little wider.  It also doesn't have any rod holders and the wells are a little differently shaped.  I figure I should be able to add a scotty (sp?) holder to it pretty easily though.  There is a place in the bow to add a hatch, but I doubt I will want to spend 70-100 putting a hatch into a $200 kayak.

Tallpaul took me out and let me try his Scrambler XT and Tarpon 140, the Tarpon was so much better I don't think I will stick with a Scrambler for long.  It will be good for me to practice on (have only been kayaking once) and will be a great yak for a buddy to take out with me once I get something better.

The only reason I think the Scrambler I am getting is the 11 vs. the Angler is that I think the angler only comes in yellow and the one I am getting is red.  Here are the Scrambler 11 and Scrambler XT Angler if anyone is interested in the slight differences between them:

I just picked it up, it is just a scrambler 11, but I will just add a flush mount rod holder or two and be set.  It came with a decent paddle also, a Harmony River Passage (http://www.paddlerscove.com/riverpassageonepiece.aspx)

Not a great paddle but certainly good enough for a noob like myself.  It also came with a bungee type paddle retention leash and some knee straps to hold you in.  Is came with a backrest (but no seat) which I will probably upgrade soon.

Very excited to get my first yak!!!
