Sarah and I headed to the Fort this morning and met up with ReelKnots, Sailfish and crew. Weather was great, wind came up a bit after noon, fishing was marginal. Caught the usual assortment of Gophers & Blacks. Kept a decent China and 19+ Cab. Saw some porpoise and a feisty seal that thought Kiel was cute. Have to add a note about the road construction on Hwy 1 between the Fort and Russian Gulch with had traffic backed up for some time headed south. What usually is a 35-40 minute drive home came in at over 2 hours. Ouch!!! I'm sure everyone coming back that way has the same tale to tell. I have to say that the highlight of my day was having my beautiful new bride accompany me to the fishing grounds. She had a blast during her first time ever on the salt water and was begging me to stay longer even after my back was akillin' me. "I want a biggin" She said. I only hope she was talking about fish. Had a great time with everyone out there. I think I smell fish tacos cooking downstairs!

It's my pleasure to meet you both.  What a beautiful day OTW that day!  What else could anyone ask for weather wise?  Thanks for the report and pictures.

Nice report! I was up there this weekend and agree about that light that was the worst drive home. Well if you got to get stuck in traffic at least this was the best spot overlooking a great ocean day.

I was caught in that traffic for about 1 hour coming back from Timber Cove.  It got faster after one officer opened up the outside (south bound) lane and waved traffic thru.

Congrats on finding a wife that shares your love of the open ocean and being on the water!  Sounds like you have a lot of living to enjoy together over the coming years.  My gal loves the yak, but I have yet to get her to fish, she just reads a book on the yak while I fish!
