ut sometimes an area is neglected because it is thought to be a poor area.

Sure, your raise a good point--there is this curve, almost like a sine wave, that often appears in biological models regarding predator and prey populations: an area gets good reports and building pressure to a peak, then the fish decline and the area gets a bad reputation so it is neglected and fish rebound.

I am no expert so I don't know how and where that plays out amongst the multitude of other factors but it is there. And, well, after all hope is a big part of fishing though not of catching (as they say) so we all keep on trying. And some of us, judging by the reports on this board, have our rewards. I caught a legal (barely by 2 inches) Cabby paddling out of HMB a few years ago--haven't been back since--so they are out there somewhere if even I could get one.

nice cabs! whats your recipe?
are you talking about the little naked beach just north of montara state beach? I know another "secret" launch spot that is so close and protected, its hardly a paddle, there should be a HMB hook up soon...
