First report in a loooong time!  (not sure why the pics are showing up so small - I followed the Bill tutorial exactly and have done it before without any problems).

Spent a few days in a house in Dorrington on Hwy. 4.  Wife, 2 kids, big dog, 2 yaks.  We didn't catch any fish at Union (trolled the length of the lake with a spinner and rapala; also powerbait from shore) but that is a great lake for hanging out, swimming, paddling...

and jumping off rocks...

Lake Alpine on 7/25 was much more productive.  My son Hayden and I took the X Factor over to the dam and drifted a combo nightcrawler/powerbait off the bottom on 24" leader.

Steady action - the first 2 were 9"ers that went back in.  Then Hayden went what passes for BENDO on planter trout...

Up comes a fat 13"...

Got his twin a little later, then showed them off back at the launch...

Great trip!
