meet the two best behaved kids i've ever met.  nick on the left is 7, cameron on the right is 9.

we launched out of half moon bay to the calmest waters i've seen in a long time.

cameron scored first with a nice black.

nick was not far behind.

then nick stuck a hog of a vermillion.

cameron shot right back with one of the biggest blacks i've ever seen.

we didn't stick as many fish as i would have liked, but it was still a beautiful day on the water.

i cruised by bean and didn't see anyone.  funny, it was really slow today.  i was metering fish all day but could not get them to bite.  shrimp flies tipped with squid were the ticket today again.  alan

Thanks for taking us along again Alan.

I'm with Sledge, my Grandpa got me started fishing bass and crappie out of private ponds on golf courses when we would go to service their water filtration systems....
