I am observing only Fog and Wind in Santa Cruz.  Is there any fishing going on or are we all waiting for better conditions?  There seems to be no reports at all.

Everyone still waiting for the food to digest after the Albion's feast  :smt003

I was out on Friday and a 7 to 8 ft south swell had really tore up a lot of kelp and stirred up the bottom. The sardines had moved out about 1/4 to 1/2 mile. I hoped for a nice black rf dinner from the mile marker but nada.
I guess everybody is waiting for things to settle out and the Bayside and Capitola  boat & bait fish reports  to  turn positive.
The wind reports and general conditions look pretty good from now on, especially from Thurs.  on.

The south swell messed up the halibut and ling fishing. Stripers have been hitting, though. I went out Sunday and Monday, but nobody was catching anything. I did have a large halibut or Ling on my line near the lighthouse, but a sea lion took off with it.
