A solid bite on halibut down in the south bay near Marshall yesterday. Bay is loaded with bait, which could be good or bad, not sure. Sardines by the millions. No trouble tossing the Sabiki and loading up. The only game in town now is live bait. Can't compete against mother nature. Buddy and  I got limits for the  day. Fish caught through the day. Big fish was in the 8-9 lb class, no jumbos. Drifted sardines with 1/12-2 oz of weight. No pressure during the middle of the week. Saw a blue yak on the water but didn't get to chat with him. If you go, best of luck.
Now is the time.
