Reviews for Current Design Altura??

 I am looking at a Current Deisgns Altura as my next Kayak. The measurements look real good and I love and sell a lot of Current Design kayaks. I have never seen an Altura in real life and was wondering how they paddle/fish.

  I have a great offer from the company to get one and just need some input.

       A HighLiner Yak but, worth the Money. I wish I could afford
a Altura. Eric of Fisherman's Wharehouse sold his and might be able
to give you a Headsup.

I have one of the Alturas and its a big boat on the water and fast. You're welcome to test paddle the boat if we're ever in the same area. I posted some of photos of my rigged yak some time ago.

I don't think CD is making them anymore. They are pushing the smaller Kestrel 140 sot.

I have one on the way and it will be here mid July!

They are phasing that boat out, but there seem to be a few still in the distribution channel one can pick up. I paddled Ricky Mitchell's prototype a few years back at the Forebay and I remember it was fast for such a big boat. Nicely made. The biggest challenge I could see is rigging a fiberglas boat and I think it had bulkheads which complicates rigging electronics. Still a nice boat--I think they gave it up because the price point was a bit too rich for the market.
