Launched at about 10:00 looking to fish the incoming. Caught some 'chovies off the launch dock. Marked tons of bait, but there was too much wind. Couldn't hold my position, anchor (12 lbs) was dragging, so I called it. Seems to be lots of life there, and I'll try it again when it's a bit calmer.

RC = Redwood city? That must have been a blow. I sometimes tie off to one of the channel markers (with a long section of bungee and a quick release) but if its blowing that hard that may be too dangerous. Some good sharkin' and rays out there.

Got the chovies on sabiki right at the dock. My first time trying it. Tons of bait in the water.

Where there is bait--there be Stripers. Uh huh, yesiree, u huh yeah. We just haven't been there at feeding time yet so no witnesses yet. they know where they are and they'll be muchin' soon enough--as Fall comes ringing in.

I grew up there - we mostly fished around pete's harbor - we even got a few stripers in the slough at the end of whipple - if you can't get live bait try tossing / trolling a 1 oz. kastmaster with a white roostertail tied on the treble hook
