Decided to head up Arnold and take my two year old son out to White Pines Lake since it's the closest lake that I know that has a no-motor boat policy on the lake. I got to Avery and remembered I forgot my paddle. I stopped at SNAK in Arnold and picked up a new paddle. I needed a new one anyone since my old one was a repaired broken one. Got to the lake and the swim beach was super packed but I let him play around a little bit before I took him out on the lake. This was his second time on the yak. On the way back in I found it's easier to control and watch him if he is in front of me and facing me. He did great at sitting still. I had him out for about 15 minutes before heading in. I don't want him to get anxious siting on a small boat for a long time. I hope to have a fishing report with him soon!

Good work dad!  Good to see.  My daughters 14 mnths and will be on our kayak for the first time in Tahoe this year in early August.  I can't wait to get her out there fishing!  I'm worried that the lakes that I grew up fishing in will never be opened again (Santa Clara Reservoirs) due to Mussel restrictions.  Guadalupe is a fantastic fishery!  Anyhow, good work and keep it up!

Jeff,

Great photos of one of my favorite places. A lot of memories for me and my son too. He got his first fish out of that lake when he was just 18 months old. To this day he still likes to fish that lake.
