It finally showed up. Just got my vhf handheld.  I bought a cobra mr hh 400x.  I don't know much about these handheld vhf's but I thought cobra is a good name and it looks like it will get the job done.  Any do's and don'ts for me?

not sure of the model but don't trust it if it says waterproof. I'd say splash proof at best. Try to keep it from fully dunking and rinse is gently after each use.

My first one said the same thing and then it died. When I opened it up it was all rusted. And the scary thing it was after I'd gotten in from a solo trip. Yikes!
