Having a hard time waiting until the last Saturday in April. Going to head down to the Middle Owens river on Sunday. Not expecting to see many fishermen, seems to be a strenuous hike down into the gorge.  Feel free to drop a message if your interested. I've never fished here before so I don't have any insight to offer other than what I've read online. Smallish Brown Trout who are not very picky about what floats by, flows above 70 CFS.

Perfect day at the gorge. High was close to 80 down at the bottom. Cool piece of water.

That's the kind of fishing I like!  One thing I know is if there are little browns, there is a really good chance there are big browns. Even in stupid small creeks.  Take a big fat streamer with next time and throw it in some of the deeper holes and near some of the bigger boulders.
