My wonderful wife bought me the Surf to Summit GTX fishing seat.
I also use an additional self inflating cushion. Makes a great combo.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Surf to Summit ( I got 2) is the best.  I have 2 GTS and they don't fill my needs.  They were design by guys have never kayak fish.  The rod holders are to close together and always tangle up.

Surf to Summit is the best.

What do you mean? Surf to Summit makes GTS seats, but they don't fill your needs? Bad design, but the best?

The Surf to Summit and GTS must be 2 different companies.  Because the GTS seats I have the pole holders mounted vertical and space not that far part.  If you have you 2 rods rigged with line and a lure.  They always get tangle up.  The GTS were from $150 to almost $200.  I think the Surf to Summit was around $110 to $120.  Back in the day.

Now, maybe Surf to Summit has a GTS model?  I looked up the Surf to Summit web site.  They do called it a GTS.  So there are two companies using the same name. Or, was GTS sold to Surf to Summit?

Does anyone on here use a COD APEX 1?  It looks almost identical to the GTS Elite but is almost $50 less in retail value.  I cant determine the exact difference because all I have is internet pics and brief descriptions.  The GTS ELITE seems clearly the most popular.  Thanks for any help!

Ditto..Comfort is great. The bag and rod holders in the back are OK. The bag gets pinched in the plano box but not that big of a deal. The rod holders seem to sag outward so I use them for whackers and gaff.

The stock seat on my Tarpon get good marks, but wasn't working for me... sore back after 3-4 hours. So I got this:

http://www.surftosummit.com/tall-back-fishing-molded-foam-kayak-seat-p-1700.html?cPath=283_206

When I installed it I wasn't too hopeful, but it did the trick. My last outing was 7 hours, not a hint of back pain. The rod holders on the bag aren't worth much. Sticking my club and net in them is kind of ok, but far from great.

I use the stock OK seat that came with my Big Game. On rivers, lakes and in the salt all day long, it's worked for me just fine...YMMV

I'm really impressed by the Wilderness Systems Phase 3 Seat. It's super comfortable.
