I have been looking online at a bunch of different kayak carts, and I can't decide on which one i want to get.  I haven't seen any in stores, so I can't really check for quality.  Any suggestions?  I want one that can be disassembled and put into the hatch of my Malibu...

www.wheeleez.com. The one with the big grey balloon wheels. Expensive but they are the best. Or buy just the wheels and make your own cart frame. Sometimes they sell perfectly good to use "blem wheels" for significantly cheaper. Good luck. jim

Full size wheeleze has not let me down so far. I have carried 2 kayaks, gear and a kid through the sand without problems. Yes they are spendy but worth it. I am able to disassemble and store it inside the front hatch of a x-factor. My personal feeling is to stay away from any cart that uses kayak scuppers as a way to keep the yak from slipping off. If you tweek a scupper then you could end up swimming. Good luck and tight lines!

gotta conquer(s/p) with redyak, i have built a few carts, and bought another, all did what they were supposed to do but long treks across the sand, if you are not going to do many beach launches then the seattle sports is good, and affordable, but if you are going to do alot of beach launches where it will be over 100ft to shore then go for the wheelez with the big wheels, i am still saving for them but will get them when i can, cameron

Hook1 probably has the best pricing ~$186 -- plus 10% off for NCKA members, code hook108, I think. And great service to boot.

I have a wheeleze and love it.  The wheels pop off and you can easily store it in your yak.  I looked into building one out of pvc but for the extra 40-50 bucks its worth buying one already built.  Plus you will help support your local shops that way.
