Which way is the unit supposed to face forward or backwards ?Thanks in advance David

i believe backwards, as if you were mounting it on a real boat, the flat side points to the back..

BUT, i tried it both ways and they both work the same

I mounted the flat end toward the back of the boat/yak.  Here is a good info link:

Well I feel stupid...I did mine strait down...seems to work though...I noticed on someones post how they positioned it to lay horizontal inside the foam...like in your ref post sonny...

I will have to get the big noodle or use some closed cell foam I have from an old softub...ummm
It's all about Today!!! Because who knows what tomorrow will bring... so Better get OTW n GetSome

All though ukiah and lake co. have grown a lot in the last few yrs I don't think we have one... :smt009

and does anyone know i positoned the flat side strait down...am i screwed and have to redo a redo... :smt001

and porky no one as of yet has taken me up on c11 i booked it for fri-sun...someone out of ukiah pm'd me but didn't firm it up... :smt004

Yeah, i would re do it forsure!

Bummer, but i dont thinkl it will work right! needs to be flat......

On the C11, i might take it, but im gonna talk to the wife tonight.... my big concern is the baby really, maybe a little crying here and there, and she wakes so easily... Ill let the wide decide this one, if the campsitres werent all so close, id say yes forsure! we actually just had to take her to the doc with a high fever :(
