Domenic let me know that he was going to get out there yesterday.  I ditched work a little early and joined him.  We should've hit the tide a little earlier, but we got some action.  Dom caught a short hali and a skate/ray that gave him a hell of a fight as well as the usual bullheads.  I caught the smallest flatfish ever at about an inch and a half and the usual host of bullheads and clam shells!  I did get a great strike, but, wouldn't you know, it was right when I decided to remove my PFD and slip on my sweatshirt.  I was just pulling my AOTY hoodie over my face thinking, "I'll probably hookup right now..." and I get a strong double pull down.  I scramble to get the rod out from under my leg and retrieve only to see two empty hooks.   :smt012  Oh well, at least I got that much action.   :smt001

Soon I will catch one of these little hotrods, and I'll have the opportunity to consider watching it swim away.   :smt007

i agree 100 per cent. And it does not work to create a distraction, like "I'm gonna get distracted by rigging a lure to my other rod". It has to be a true distraction like i haven't drunk anything for 6hrs and am about to dry up and blow away, so Ill turn around and get that water bottle at the back of the tankwell.....zzzz zzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz  :smt044
