Sorry Santiago. It will only be some pictures for now. I am packing boxes for the
Philippines. I'll answer questions when I get back. Good luck and I hope it helps
a little at least on your new kayak.

Take care,
Jedmo

Great illustrated pictures Jed.  I guess you're done packing for the long trip back home  :smt003

I learned how to splice a nylon rope. I hope I have a picture of it here somewhere.
BTW, I used the Marine Goop Adhesive for the holes I have made on the kayak
and for the transducer pad. The pad I had used was a cut out from a garden knee
pad you can buy anywhere. Oh, here is the updated version of the bungee end
with a stainless ring for and easy release.

Good luck,
Jedmo

Nice work Jed!  I'll have to post mine as soon as I finish.  I've got a couple more things to complete but almost there.

The short answer is yes!  I used the same setup.

Basically there is a screw that runs the entire length of the wedge.  You can place the wedge in the mast and the opening at the top of the wedge is where you place the screwdriver to tighten it.  At the bottom is a nylock nut sitting in a groove so that when you screw, the bottom is being sucked up into the top, thus expanding and holding it tight in the mast.  Does that make sense?

I was using this for a while until somebody here made a comment about my
mount. LOL :smt005 My wife caught me cutting up her kitchen sink brush. She
loved the idea afterwards though.
