Some pair time and spare wood so I made a kayak rack..Works great just roll it out to the truck and push it in and off fishing.  Easy to move around the garage with the wheels.

Good idea!  I guess you can add some shelves and utilize the empty space underneath the cart to store fishing tackles.

looks similar to the one EWB posted before.  Although he used carpeting to hold up the kayak to prevent the yak from possibly getting bent.

Great minds think alike.  I built something similar, but mine is a double decker to hold two kayaks plus storage on the bottom level to store some gear / tackle, etc.

I'll post some photos when I find time.

yep pretty much the same thing. The wheels are key. And yes my first model had rigid supports and I saw a little dent in the hull so I switched to carpet 'slings' maybe hobies don't suffer the same fate and/or my garage may get hotter. Just keep and eye on the bottom.

Instead of carpet I used my wifes yoga pad, (don't tell her), and yes there is a shelf at the bottom for storage.

For another point of reference, here's the one I made... works well.  I used to hang mine from the ceiling in my garage but our new garage doesn't have as high of a ceiling.  This works well to keep all the frequently used gear with the boats and it can easily be moved out of the way when needed.  Also makes for a nice bench for the boats when they're being worked on instead of hunching over to work off the floor.

Great idea there fellas. I may have to make something like that as well. The wife
is giving me such grief about the kayak and other gears being all over the place.
I need to make sure to leave some room under for other things. Thanks for
sharing guys.
