I have no idea what happened,  their just gone....  :smt010  all my many photos of fishing with the kids etc... etc....  :smt010

They are still in the Adobe photoshop,  Thank God!!! whatever the pentax optio uses...

but, not sure how to get these out and it wants me to use a service in Germany " Off line storage",

I'll do anything at this point, but what/are better ways to get my pics off adobe and store them safely...?

Thankfully I still have my pics that were stored in " My pictures "...

still puzzled how this happened, I was doing some internet/temporary internet file history clearing, but this has never been a problem before.

I should have really figured this out a long time ago and I am working hard at it now...

any tips appreciated...  and

Don't let this happen to you.....  Back Up!!!!!

Woah there man...  Sounds  like they aren't gone if you can still view them, at all.  Just what ever method of viewing you are using may have 'forgotten' where they are stored or something.

I know a few different tricks to find where they are hiding.  Easy way is if you know the name of a file you can search for it.  You must know the actual file name, not a guess!  Or at least a identifying part of the name, like Albion-potluck23.jpg or at least 'know' it has 'Albion' in the name.

Then goto your MyComputer, and into your C: drive.  Press F3 on keyboard, it will bring up a search menu (diff. between diff versions of windows, but search for ALL file types, etc).  Search for it, and it may take some time, but if it finds it you will know for sure where it is.

Other ideas come to mind, but if you need help PM me and ill help ya over the phone man!

Thanks,

I've tried something like that, but to no avail... I'll try again with what your saying...

scary things is adobe photoshop keeps searching my computer for the " Ghost " image it has on it's file..

I guess it's not a real image because it won't load clear and says it can't find the file...

another clue about what happened was I configured a wireless modem at work and now I'm getting the e-mail server address when I try to e-mail a photo to myself...

thanks for the online support and will call ya soon for help...

 probably going to need it.....
