Has anybody been out this way and had a chance to fish? I'm going with my girlfriend for  her family reunion. There are some huge strippers and blue fish back there. I am going to have time for some fishing.
Fishing from shore. Line weight, rod length (cast or spin), terminal tackle, etc. Anything will help. I've got an arsenal of stuff.
I once drove to Panama and fished and dove all the way down. I had time to find what worked. OH! we ate very well. This time I've got only hours to figure the game out.
 Any Help will be Great.
 THANKS, capt willie

I haven't fished Providence but Ive fished Rhode Island a little further south. We used swimbaits and topwater in the surf. We came up with some nice bluefish and some hefty stripers.

I lived out in CT and fished all along the coast. you want to get to coastline and fish beaches and inlets. Big stripers and blue fish. You can also hook into a few fluke of the beach. Fish early morning in evening on in/out bound tides near rock points. here is a kayak fishing link for New England.

I would use topwater popers bunker color and cast master/hopkins lures. They do have kayak rentals up and down the coast.
