What's wrong with just leaving the MD pulled out but just laying down at the bottom of where your feet are? Does it get in the way of resting your feet? jim

One thing is that it makes things a lot more difficult if you flip.
Another is will limit your floor space.
I try to keep things as clean as I can to avoid line tangles and interference with landing fish.
