Hi Amp:

I would do the S. Reef between the S. Isl. and the Carpet of Kelp.
If you do the N. Point watch out for the outgoing Rips and wash Rocks.
Take your time to watch the Sets wash over the Rocks. The Channel
into Glass House Beach can turn into a Washing Mach. :smt044
Try NOT to go too far South of the S. Isl. or, you'll be fight the Wind
back. I park my Yak at Shark tooth Rock which is, the Large Rock outcropping
Adj. to the North Tip of the South Is., across from VanDamme Estate.
                                                                             Good Luck
                                                                             Ernie
Look at the following S. Reef  Pics. 6-9 in the link below

Merv,  Check out a chart, but if you keep going past the glass house there is a channel network that wraps around and goes for about a mile north.  It is protected from ocean seas.  Keep going around the glass house and the channel cuts back inland and leads into a big pool.  That pool has pretty good abs.  On the way back you'll be going with the wind and current.  It is much more better at low tide for swell protection.

We are going to make a decision tomorrow (Wed) if we're going this weekend. I'm not sure about the conditions. The trip is already planned but the water is looking rough and the wind is not appealing.
