Tahoe City Paddle Fest 2009


 The Tahoe City Paddle Fest launches June 20th as part of the Fourth Annual Tahoe City Heart & Solstice Festival.

The one-day event will be held on Commons Beach in the heart of Tahoe City and encompass a variety of activities, including paddling, fishing and kayak sailing clinics, safety instruction, kayak and paddleboarding races, a paddleboarding demonstration and a variety of kayak demos available from Hobie, Wilderness Systems, Eddyline, and Jackson Rec. 
 

Paddlefest is sponsored by Hobie Kayaks, Wilderness Systems, Eddyline, Tahoe Paddleboards, and in partnership with the Tahoe City PUD and the Tahoe City Downtown Association.

Paddle Fest will run from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Saturday June 20

The Stand-up Paddleboard and kayak race will be held first thing in the morning.  Registration at 7:AM, with the race starting at 9:AM.  Details and registration will be available on  http://www.ta-hoenalu.com/

Tahoe city will be brimming with activity during this weekend with a classic car show, a wine tasting event, and a concert on Sunday afternoon featuring Truckee Tribe and Montana Slim.

A $15 Admission Fee will allow participants full access to kayak clinics, demos, and all Tahoe City Paddlefest events.

Commons Beach is located directly across the street from Tahoe City Kayak's retail location at 521 North Lake Blvd. in Tahoe City.
