When I take the pooch I normally stay pretty close to shore but the wife and I have a trip planned where we are going to be crossing a couple of lakes. He is a pretty strong swimmer but he is 12 so I didn't want to take any chances. Thanks to Alameda's post I found these on sale at WM and they are built really well $14.95. He doesn't really like it but he already knows it means Kayak time and gets all excited and it hasn't even been close to the water Smart Dog Thanks Alameda.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I got a similar one for my pup.  She hasn't been on the yak yet, but I read that it's good to put the yak in the back yard and spray it down with water for them to get used to.  :smt001

My dog has yet to see water for the most part, she's still a pup, but I doubt she'll have a problem with it  :smt003
