last weekend I went with my kayak to Beardsley reservoir(near pinecrest hwy 108) I did okay, the weather was bad it rained every day...but last weekend I went to the north fork of the stanislaus off hwy 4 , I backpacked a couple miles in and absolutely slayed em.  I mostly using a fire tiger pattern of the panther martin. :smt044 also the brown trout pattern with a holographic spinner was pretty good too.

X2

I grew up fishing Beardsley but ironically haven't had my yak there this year.  I've fished the middle and south forks of the Stanislaus but never the north - looks solid!  WAY jealous.

Nice brown you got! I miss Stanislaus River. Beautiful country. I used to backpack for a night or two flyfishing  the Middle Fork. Lots of wild 'bows and browns. I plan to go back there to bow-hunt for deer on opening day.
