Pillar Point, Saturday the 13th.

Shannon and I met up with BML Saturday am out of Pillar Point, first ocean outing in the new kayaks and could not have asked for better conditions or company.  
Stayed fairly close to the harbor and worked some reefs for some fish.  I ended the day with a gopher, a brown and three blacks kept for the table and released one 22" ling and a cute lil bitty ling.  Shannon ended up keeping five quality blacks as well.

Great day and hope the conditions will hold for this coming weekend.

Beautiful guys!  I should spend some time fishing up there before the tourney!  Too bad no huge lings for ya, but sounds like a great day fishing nonetheless!

WTG Surf Hunter! That little ling sure looks cool. What time did you get out there? I was hoping we would cross paths, but we were on the water by 7:30 and off by 11:30 fishing near the Mavericks break. Take care and I hope we can hook up some time.

I think we launched around 0830ish or so, not really sure, Shannon and I kind of take our sweet buttet time about stuff. 
Not even really sure what time we came back in, maybe noonish?
I heard you guys on the radio but i guess you guys could not hear my replies.

Thanks again. You and Shannon were quality company and even though I only landed one rf I had a great time for my first time on the big blue. I look forward to future outings.

WTG BML on your first rf. My brother only caught one rockfish out there as well and is completely hooked now and so am I. Glad to hear you had good company and hope to see you out there sometime.

Sorry I didn't get to fish w/ you guys.  I got there early to teach my newbie friend how to fish.  He caught two fish right off the bat before getting seasick.  We headed back in around 930, ran into BML just outside the harbor.

I heard someone was getting seasick over the radio. Sorry to hear about your friend. I got a little queasy out there as well. I hope we can all hook up one day out there.

Yah my friend was leaning over the side to vomit (not good when paddling a scupper pro), and fell in, capsizing the kayak.  I paddled over to him, got him back in and we made our way back to the harbor.

He's hooked.

Marv, samething happened to me when I got sick last year at Ft Ross. I leaned
over on the wrong side of the boat to get sick and there I go. In the water in
just a split second.
