Looks like a possible Garrapata launch Tuesday. With the weather cooperating hopefully. A new friend called me up and wants to try it out. Should be fun, though I've never launched there... should be interesting. If others are interested PM me.

You sure you want to break in a newb at Garrapata, especially if you haven't launched there before?  I'm just saying . . . not criticizing or anything.  If I didn't have to work (DOH!) i'd be right there with you guys.  Good luck, be safe.

Hi,
I am interested in hooking up for a little Big Sur trip. I have fished only one other no name spot with Brendan and have been itching to get out down south again, what time and where will you be launching.
I am deciding between driving to The Fort R. area or south to the SUR. It seems that Sur has been out fishing the N. Coast. Not to worry about me on the water I can hold my own in most anything.
Please give me some directions to hook up.
Wally

Hey Yakuza, I'm definitely heeding the warning. If it looks like a rough launch we'll continue south and check spots till we find a comfortable consensus. The newb works at MBK as a guide so I'm pretty sure he has some experience. I've just never fished with him before. The weather/water conditions are looking favorable at this point except for the south swell which I'm not sure how that has affected those launch sites. Believe it or not it was his idea to make the Sur trip. Hey you can always call in sick and come fish with us.:smt003 R Wally, it would be great to have you join us. My number is 831-235-3077, though at this point I'm not exactly sure the specific details. I live in Salinas, Joey lives in the Seaside area I think. I need to confirm plans with him and figure out the details. He said he wants to try Garrapata, I have some experience at Mill Creek. So by tomorrow around noon hopefully we have it all figured out

Hey that sounds like a plan so far,
I am chomping at the bit to fish the N.Coast so I am flying solo to "my spot"above F. Ross of course I share it with lots of others but it's my fav........ I hope to have enough energy to make a double hitter so we will see how the Tues. plan works for me. I have the time, gear and truck lets see if I got the drive. I am coming down from Alameda so I figure around 3 hrs ???? + / - for both trips.

Good luck at Big Sur,
I fished for 7 hrs, 5 of those hrs were perfect weather the last 2 the wind picked up but I just played catch and release in the shallows, could have had 2 limits .......... got my limit with the reg. size rockies sm./med. with 2 fair sz reds in the 16" category. 3 underlings and no Cabs :(
My arms are tired from catching so a will try my hand at catching some of that south swell surfing that is..........Best of luck in Sur, thanks for the invite but I won't make it.
