The post spawn bite has been hit or miss for me most of May and June so far.  The topwater bite in the morning has been good when the weather is hot.  Frogs, poppers, buzzbaits, spooks and Sammies all work to trigger a bite now and then when the light is low.  Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and jigs have done well when the topwater bite slows down.  I got this fish (pic 1) on the frog a few days ago.  It was 5 pounds 13 ounces.  Most of the fish I've been catching are under 3 pounds.  I've been getting 4-9 fish per day.  Hopefully some warmer weather will push the fish under the slop soon.

Here is a SHOCKING FISH video I took while on the water today.

I once was over by Helen and Herman's marina watching them do the same thing and saw 2 large bass come out on was 18 lbs and the other a tad over 20 lbs. About 3 or 4 weeks later one of the workers at the marina caught the Delta record. It was the 18 lber. I am pretty confidant the delta holds the world record somewere. If I could only find it.

If I see you trolling the delta with a shark shield with suped up voltage, I'll know something's up.   :smt044.  Just kiddin'...

Thanks for the report HB.  I may hit the delta this weekend before a b'day party, so your report (as always) is encouraging.

I was referring to the tips about bass fishing  :smt005, not the "shocking"  :smt044 but if you need one I can make you a portable all I need from you is 12v battery ( magnetic coils size 14 and 12 1LB) if you wanna use it saltwater 6 condenser and 1 capacitor, trust me I've build one when I was back home and loved it :smt007 :smt003,

Bryan;

That's too funny.  Those are my lab mates, Louise and Patrick.  That study is sooo much fun.

Does anyone know the nature of the study?  I'm hoping that this isn't related to bass pradation on endangered salmon, etc.  The water war folks are going to be looking for something to blame beside the obvious mismanagement of the delta, hopefully the largemouth isn't the next scapegoat.
